Loud type, quiet craft. Websites for singers, conductors & the classical stage.
See the workSearch for any artist and something comes up - an agency page with a three-year-old biography, a Wikipedia entry nobody checks, reviews from a decade ago, a YouTube clip you'd rather forget. That's the shop window right now. It's just not one you built, and not one you control.
A website doesn't announce that you've arrived - your career did that long ago. It makes sure that when a casting director, a promoter or a journalist comes looking, they find the current biography, the repertoire you sing now, the recordings you chose, and a diary that's actually up to date. Not the artist you were in 2015 - the artist you are next season.
“But my agent's site has all that.”
It does a different job, and does it well. Your agent's page is built to make the booking - a biography, a headshot, a way in. It was never meant to be your press office, your archive or your diary, and it shouldn't have to be.
The two work together. Your own site is where the depth lives - the full diary, the recordings, the reviews, the current biography - and your agent's page points at a home that does you justice. Ask any agent - a strong website is a win for them too. Every pitch they make gets checked: the promoter reads the email, then goes looking. A site that's current and impressive finishes the agent's sentence for them - and it means no more chasing artists for the right photo or this season's biography.
And it's the one address that's yours, outright, for every chapter of a long career.
We've been building websites for 25 years, and we work only in classical music. Singers, conductors, instrumentalists - nobody else. We're in the industry ourselves, so you'll never have to explain your world to your web people.
Once your site is live, your only job is to send us your news - dates, reviews, photos, recordings. We publish, host, secure and back up everything else. Your diary syncs straight from Google Calendar or iCal, so your engagements appear without you touching a thing.
We never take more than fifty clients. Enough to look after every one of them properly, never so many that you're just a number on a spreadsheet.
Every site we build has one job - to get you heard. Pages that load fast, a biography that's always the current one, recordings that play first time, a diary that's never out of date. When someone goes looking for you, they find a shop window worthy of the career behind it.
We never look after more than fifty clients - one cowshed, and enough pasture to keep everyone in milk.
Designed around you - your voice, your repertoire, your photographs. Not a template.
Hand-built, extremely fast and SEO-optimised. Send us new dates, photos or recordings and they're live quickly, nothing for you to do. No templates, no platforms, no rented ground - your site is yours, outright, for the whole career.
Domain, email, hosting, security, backups, renewals - set up during the build, looked after ever after.
One email to a person, not a ticket number in a queue. The people who built your site are the people who answer - and we're watching the hosting, the backups and the renewals all year round, so you never have to.
Set up so Google, promoters and programme editors find the right you, and your links look right when shared.
That's everything, no build fee, just a 12-month minimum (terms).
The essentials, done properly and kept running.
That's everything, no build fee, just a 12-month minimum (terms).
Everything in The site, handled, plus the admin every musician puts off:
“Squarespace costs a third of this - couldn’t I just do it myself?” You could. We wrote you an honest answer →
A redesign, a new section, a page for the new recording - anything beyond the monthly allowance is quoted before we lift a finger.
Running a choir, ensemble or school rather than a solo career? The same tier swaps the press kit for a members' news page on your site, kept up to date from whatever you send us.
The build is free in exchange for a 12-month minimum term. Leave before the year is up and the remaining months fall due - that's the whole exit cost, nothing hidden.
The plan rolls monthly. Leave whenever you like with 30 days' notice.
Your domain is registered in your name from day one - always yours. Your words, photos and recordings are always yours. The design and code become licensed to you once the 12-month term is complete.
If you go, you leave with what's always been yours: your domain and a complete copy of your site's files. Finding them a new home - and setting it all up there - is between you and your next provider.
Content changes (two a month on the first tier, four on the second) don't roll over. Anything bigger gets a friendly quote first - no surprise invoices.
No page is published and nothing is sent in your name until you've approved it. Silence never counts as approval.
Monthly, in advance, by debit or credit card - set up once through Stripe, then it takes care of itself.
Paid advertising, print design, photography, buying your domain name, and fees charged by third parties.
Hosting and security are our problem, not yours. If your site goes down, we'll usually know before you do.
Not what you're thinking. The cow is your career, and our job is to make sure it gives everything it's got. A proper shop window, always open, always current, so no opportunity walks past. We take fifty clients at most, and we look after every single one.
Tell us who you are and we'll come back within two working days with a plan for your site. Nothing to pay until you've seen it and said yes.
We welcome a few new artists each month, so every launch gets the attention it deserves. And when all fifty stalls are spoken for, the waiting list opens - we're happy to keep one warm for you.
Tell us what's new and it'll be live within two working days. Fill in what you know - if a box doesn't apply, skip it.
